This quilt was made when I fell in love with a picture I found in a magazine. Because of my love for just about any log cabin quilt, I decided to make it. There were no instructions, so I just started making blocks like I always did. We would lay them out, continually looking at the picture and figuring out which blocks needed to be all cream colored and which blocks needed to be all dark. The majority were basic half and half. One of my daughters, KayLynn, is a very talented artist. She sees things of color quickly and she was a big help when we needed to see where things needed to be. I really appreciated her help. I don't remember exactly when I made this quilt. It has been quite a few years ago, but I LOVE this quilt. It is on my bed all year long as the quilt we sleep with. It was backed with a flannel sheet and has always provided just the right amount of warmth that we need. |
